NEW News!!! Reporting live from MacRumors......
A new rumor regarding the release date of Lion has come out. It offers 2 release dates- 22 July or 29 July. All the operating system releases from Apple follow a certain pattern.
Mac OS X v10.0 "Cheetah" - March 24, 2001
Mac OS X v10.1 "Puma" - September 25, 2001
Mac OS X v10.2 "Jaguar" - August 24, 2002
Mac OS X v10.3 "Panther" - October 24, 2003
Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" - April 29, 2005
Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" - October 26, 2007
Mac OS X v10.6 "Snow Leopard" - August 28, 2009
They all are late in the month and surprisingly, all are on Fridays. Maybe because Apple wants people to have time to party while the news is still fresh? Or maybe they are partying before they forget about the release. Anyways, since the pattern is to be late in the month and on a Friday these two release dates match. Even though they are the only Friday's left in the month and it probably has to be one it's still something to go on.
Even though all this evidence seems bulletproof, maybe my cross-referencing was wrong. Maybe there is no connection through the Friday's and it is just coincidence that it is late in the month, it is all that Apple has given us to go on.
Here are some of the dates that I came up with-
July 17th-
Despite what you think, not because it is tomorrow.
July= 10th month- 10
17th= .7
10+.7= 10.7 which equals software number
July 25th-
I actually don't know why I picked this one. Maybe because it is a tidy number. I don't know..........
July 19th-
Because of this post-
You're ALL wrong. Steve just called me via FaceTime, and told me that Lion would be available at 01:57 hrs on 19/07/2011.
