iOS 5 Countdown- iPad 3 cont.- Part 8

Many rumors about the release of the iPad 3 this year have fizzled out to nothing. It does make logical sense though. Why dub a year the "Year of the iPad 2" when you would release an iPad 3? However, if not late this year, Apple will probably release the iPad 3 early 2012. There has been news of Apple ordering parts from it's Chinese and Taiwanese producers, such as screens and chips. Also it looks like the iPad 3 will receive a massive resolution update to 2048 by 1536 pixels. This is double the existing iPads resolution on the market today. The screen actual size will stay 9.7 inches though. Following iPhone and iPod's retina display, the iPad 3 is also expected to receive a retina upgrade.
