Many rumors about the release of the iPad 3 this year have fizzled out to nothing. It does make logical sense though. Why dub a year the "Year of the iPad 2" when you would release an iPad 3? However, if not late this year, Apple will probably release the iPad 3 early 2012. There has been news of Apple ordering parts from it's Chinese and Taiwanese producers, such as screens and chips. Also it looks like the iPad 3 will receive a massive resolution update to 2048 by 1536 pixels. This is double the existing iPads resolution on the market today. The screen actual size will stay 9.7 inches though. Following iPhone and iPod's retina display, the iPad 3 is also expected to receive a retina upgrade.

Windows 8 Update- USB 3.0

In Windows 8 Microsoft has promised USB 3.0 support. This is about the fastest file transfer in the market today. Also if you are feeling scared about the fact that you don't even know what USB 3.0 is then you don't need to worry. Windows 8 has support for USB 2.0 as well. Here is more from Engadget-
No points for calling this one, but Microsoft confirmed today that Windows 8 will indeed boast support for the USB 3.0 specification, and "robust" support at that. That includes not just the higher transfer speeds you'd expect, but the promise of better battery life thanks to the improved power management measures the specification allows. Naturally, Microsoft will also continue to support all of your less speedy USB devices, and says that it's actually created a brand new Microsoft USB Test Tool (or MUTT) to ensure everything works without a hitch -- it's described as "1,000 devices on a USB thumb drive." iOS 5 Countdown- Beta Jailbreak- Part 7

Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 4 Using Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 – Apple has released iOS 5 Beta 4 yesterday, and iOS 5 Beta 4 Jailbreak has already released, looks like Dev-team just wait for apple to release any update, so that they can jailbreak. The jailbreak (redsn0w Jailbreak) will let users install Cydia, which allows them to use apps unapproved and unsanctioned by Apple.

It is not a complete jailbreak yet its only a tethered jailbreak. That means users who reboot their devices will need to run redsn0w again to force it back into jail-broken mode. If you jailbreak your i device on iOS 5, you wont get OTA updates from Apple, as explained by MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev-Team:

The 5.0b4 OTA update won’t work on JB devices due to an explicit check of /Applications..almost like a present from Apple.

NOTE: It appears that by design, the OTA update that became available starting with iOS 5 beta4 will *not* be automatically applied to jailbroken devices. That’s a relief to those who don’t want to lose their jailbreak via OTA pushes. If you’re jailbroken, you’ll need to use the standard iTunes method to get to iOS 5 beta4.

Way to go Rooney!

Fifa 11 is currently the worlds most popular sports game ever. Even though this is mainly because football is the worlds most popular game, Fifa is still a redefinition of what sports can look like in the virtual world. With over 500 teams and 5000 players, Fifa is the most authentic soccer experience that you can get off the pitch. It has been developed to such an extent that even professional footballers use it to improve their game.

When you first start the game, a video of Kaka walking greets you. On the PC the game is designed as much as it can for an XBox controller so it is not that easy to pick up. However, once you get used to the controls, you can manipulate every part of every players movements. The graphics and the gameplay are pretty much the best you can get in any simulation game.

The new features in FIFA 11 include a 360 degree of motion. You can control any player to move in any direction on the ground or in aerial headers and celebrations. The Virtual Pro is also a new innovation. With it you can make your own player and make him a legend. The chance to make him known beyond the screen is also possible with multiplayer Virtual Pro.

We here @ BeepcoolStudios rate this awesome PC game a 9.5/10. Things to improve are the price and make it universal, ie. make more of the controls for PC and such on.

MegaJump Review

MegaJump is a free and addictive game which closely resembles Doodle Jump excluding the hefty price tag. With a red monster as hero it is a game into which you can get easily addicted and can enjoy for hours after the free download. With simple controls and fun gameplay it is only a short time before this epic app tops the free charts

The aim of this game is to, put it simply, jump and get the highest height. You go higher by collecting the coins that line your way. Some coins get you higher then others, and you can see these by their different colours. Also there is a wide variety of power-ups such as a slower down-time. Getting a higher height can result in more maps and other unlockable features.

Because of it's epic game-play and cheapness, we rate this app a 10/10

Fruit Ninja Review

Fruit FTW!

With the Zen Mode you can't die. Well, not until your time runs out. This is pretty much a test of how fast your reactions and how fast your fingers can move. You pretty much just swipe across the various fruit using your fingers. Be careful not to swipe on bombs otherwise it's gameover.

On normal mode, it is just a matter of time before you miss 3 fruit or you hit a bomb. Failing to do either, you can play this pretty much forever. If you get bored with the same graphics then you can customize the background and also the blades. On the full version you can unlock blades and achievements.

Because of Fruit Ninja's cheapness and addictiveness we here @ Beepcool Studios rate this awesome game a 9/10. More modes could make this the king of all iOS devices
